How To Travel Within Singapore
While Singapore is a very modern city, there are still some things you can do for yourself. For example, you can go to the beach or visit a zoo! There are also many shopping malls and tourist attractions closeby.
As the largest city in Singapore, there are always places to see and experiences. If you know where to look, you can find everything from temples to shopping malls.
This is why tourism in Singapore is so popular. People travel here for all sorts of experiences: from seeing wildlife in nature parks to shopping at the high-end malls.
There are two main ways to travel within Singapore: by public transport and by outdoor adventure activities.
Take the MRT to your destination
If you are going to a nearby destination, take the MRT to get there quickly. There are three MRT stations in the downtown area of Singapore – Tuas, Sengkang, and Rochor – and you can use one to get to another station or into the Central Area.
Most trains run on time, so you do not have to worry about waiting around for a train. Also, the network is well-maintained and always running. Most trains will stop at all stations you ask for, even if they are not your destination station.

Once you’ve identified a good spot for your first bike ride, the next step is to figure out where the best routes are. There are several reasons to find bicycle routes, though the most important one is discoverability.
Most people would be happy to travel around Singapore on their bikes, but if you want to explore other parts of Singapore, then you need ways to present yourself as a visitor. You want to know that your bike ride will be well-visited and self-supported since only a small number of people actually come out on their bikes during daytime hours.
Thus, one of the first things to look for in a bicycle club or group is findability. Does it offer easy-to-find email addresses and other ways to communicate? Does it have a Facebook page or another medium that members can use to publicly support it? Are there any groups with overlapping membership that meet together regularly?
These are all important parts of the membership structure that should already be in place before anyone else can join.
Know the street names of your destination
Most people make a rookie error of not knowing the names of the streets in their destination. This can be a big mistake.
For example, traveling to Beijing is not a bad idea because you do not know which street is which district? You might visit your favorite shops and restaurants in the same area!
Many cities have their own unique street names, or even alternate names for the same location. In Bangkok, for example, Nikaol Bopha Road is called Ratanakkodh Road.
Know the directions to your destination

You can also download dedicated GPS apps for your phone like Google Maps or iOS’s Apple Maps. In either case, it will help you find Singapore faster!
