Here’s what to do next…
Part 5 – Traveling to “The World”
Here’s What To Do 45 Days Before Your Trip
By: Crystal Seaton
When we left off last time, you had completed your online check at 60 days prior to arrival. That means your Walt Disney World vacation is getting very close!!!!
Now that you are at the 45 day mark, there are a couple of big things to finalize.
Do you want insurance to cover your vacation?
Now is the last chance you have to add insurance through Walt Disney Travel Company. If you change your mind later, your travel agent may be able to get insurance through a private company. However to get it through Disney, it must be added prior to final payment.
Final Payment – Yes. It is here.
Time to pay off this vacation. Some of you made a deposit some time ago and then paid nothing else. Some of you made regular payments and some of you made occasional payments. Now we all have to get it paid in full.
It is easiest to use a credit card or a debit card for this. If you use a debit card, make sure your daily spending limited is large enough for the transaction. If you prefer, you can mail Walt Disney World a check, but I don’t recommend this unless you are willing to pay for tracking on the package.
Finally, lots of people prefer to pay with Disney Gift Cards. You can get these at many locations and sometimes can even get them with a small discount.
Whatever method you choose, it is time to get that vacation paid in full.
Once those two things are done, check over your details:
- Is everything on your reservation correct?
- Do you have your My Disney Experience account set up and linked to your reservation?
- Is your dining booked?
- Do you have any special event you want booked?
- Have you booked Disney’s Magical Express?
Now it is time to sit back and relax. Next we will work on touring plans, resort requests, packing and Disney’s Photopass.
Then you will be off on your vacation!
