60 days!! Wow, now it’s really getting exciting!!
Part 4 – Traveling to “The World”
Here’s What To Do 60 Days Before Your Trip
By: Crystal Seaton
Wow! It has been 4 months since you’ve done anything for your Walt Disney World Vacation. Once you got those dining reservations set, you got to sit back and relax.
Now, it is time to get busy again.
At 60 days prior to your trip, you can do your online check-in at your resort. What’s this, you might ask? Online check-in allows you to set up all your information in Disney’s system and do a preliminary check-in for your resort.
You’ll tell them what time you expect to arrive at your resort. You give them your cell phone number so they can reach you. And you enter a credit card for room charging privileges at your resort.
When you arrive at your resort, there will be two check-in lines. One will be for regular check-in and one will be for online check-in. The online check-in line is generally must quicker than the regular line.
And who wants to wait in line more than necessary?
You want to link your resort reservations and your dining reservation to this account. That way you can use the My Disney Experience app in the parks to keep everything together.
Another thing to consider now is whether you need and/or want travel insurance on your vacation. Walt Disney World offers a great insurance through Travel Guard for vacation packages. One of the biggest perks is that it covers your flights to and from Walt Disney World even when you book them on your own.
Some people don’t feel the need for travel insurance and some people would never travel without it. Now is the time to figure out what is right for you.
If you want the travel insurance offered by Walt Disney World, you must purchase prior to your final payment on your package. Also, if you are flying to Walt Disney World, it is time to get Disney’s Magical Express set up for your trip.
This is Disney’s FREE transportation to and from Orlando International Airport.
It can be added up until a few days prior to your travel but it is much easier to have it in place before your final payment so that your documents all arrive together.
Finally, at this point, you need to make sure you have everything set financially for that last Walt Disney World payment.
It will be here in 15 days!
