Aging Expectations

A Chance to Win!

U can!Everyone has a story and everyone wants their story told.

I know this because when I tell people I write, they ask me what I write and before I can finish answering, they tell me about how interesting their story is and that they are thinking about writing it.

I say:

Go for it!

I completely agree that everyone’s story is interesting and worth telling.

*No eye rolling, please.*

If you are one of the people who want to write but don’t know where to begin, how about a writing contest?

The 34th Annual Lorian Hemingway Short Story Competition is here.

Yes, Lorian is related to Ernest Hemingway. She’s his granddaughter!

Now, the deadline is May 1st, so you don’t have much time. There is also a $15 entry fee but you could win $1,500 (smaller prizes for second and third places – *think positive though*).

If you haven’t written at all, a writing contest may not be the best place to start. If though you have written something and were waiting for an opportunity to debut it – go for it!

Here’s your chance to put pen to paper…wait, I mean, fingers to keyboard and have your (short) story told!

You can do it!!

**I have no affiliation with the Lorian Hemingway Competition. They are not a sponsor but if talking about it helps my chances at winning, I won’t be disappointed!

**Deadline too close for you? Here are some additional contests:
